Frequently Asked Questions
- I found a broken link or an empty album or series.
Report it to us!
- How do I download?
Browse to an album that you wish to download where you will be presented with download buttons
that will send you to the authorization page. Once you
accept the agreement on that page, you should be able to download any file
by just clicking on it.
- How do the slots work?
If there are "slots" available, you are automatically granted a download ticket.
Each download ticket consumes one slot and once your download finishes, your
download ticket expires and that slot is freed up. We make available only a
limited number of slots in total and per person (per person slots are managed by
IP address—the unique address computers get on the Internet).
- Are there download restrictions?
Yes, but only in part. Only 50 slots are available at a given time,
and only 1 download can be running from one person (slot per IP). Otherwise, we have no limits
on how many tracks you can download in a period or on the speed in which you download
it at. If there are no open slots available for you to download when you try, you will
be informed.
- Can I download a whole album as one file?
We do not make that option available because of the CPU involved in processing
such a large file for download. To download many tracks in an album, we suggest that
you consider using a download manager.
- Are download managers allowed?
Absolutely. However, you must have already authorized yourself and your download
manager must be able to handle cookies. Otherwise, you may have to use a different
download manager or forego using one.
- How can I see what slots are taken?
Take a look at the
slots statistics page.
- Will downloading tracks get me hot girls?
Yes.
- Really?
No.
- I keep getting an error telling me that I already have too many downloads going on.
Make sure that you are not on a public or shared network where other people
may be downloading from this site (different users are detected by IP address) simultaneously. If
you are sure there is no one downloading other than you, feel free to
contact us—there might be an issue with the
download system that we need to rectify.
- What is the password for the download?
There are no passwords. If you are using a download manager, please try
an alternative.
- "Internet Explorer cannot download... try again later."
Do NOT try right clicking the link and using Save Target As. If there are no free
download slots, Internet Explorer will not report what error occurred if you use this method.
- What does "Bandwidth Exceeded" mean?
Please contact us to
rectify this problem.
- Some of the filenames are capitalized incorrectly.
We use our own computer algorithm to fix up the filenames of the OSTs that we get (some use dashes for
spaces, some have no capitalization, etc.), but because we have done minimal case-by-case testing, the
algorithm may incorrectly capitalize words it does not know.
In such a case, please report it to us!
- How can I help out?
Please consider donating to us. We would be very grateful
and it will go a long way to keeping our anime music archive online.
- Can I upload an album?
Yes. Use our Contribute-an-Album website.
- By what software are the download slots managed by?
We use our own slot delegation system that we developed a few years ago. It is
not available for sale at this point in time. However, if you are interested in
developing your own, we merely used mod_rewrite combined with some PHP for the
backend.
